Yasmine Kashefi

Yasmine Kashefi brings a passion for communications and new media to Thornley Fallis Communications as an Account Coordinator. A recent graduate of Centennial College’s Public Relations and Corporate Communications Post-Graduate program, Yasmine is constantly seeking out opportunities to apply her skills and supplement her learning.

At Thornley Fallis, Yasmine is responsible for daily media monitoring, media relations, writing and developing both traditional and social media strategies and plans for various clients. She is responsible for producing Inside PR, a weekly podcast hosted by Martin Waxman, Joe Thornley and Gini Dietrich on the state of public relations. Additionally, Yasmine takes care of day-to-day administrative duties in the office to ensure operations in the Toronto office run smoothly.

A self-proclaimed technology addict and social media fanatic, you would be hard-pressed to find Yasmine without a gadget on her person. With a dedication to finding new and innovative ways for social media platforms to be used as a communications vehicle, Yasmine actively engages on numerous social networking websites with an intention to not only build relationships, but to listen.

At Centennial College, Yasmine frequently volunteered on and off campus. Most recently, she assisted with organizing Talk is Cheap 3.0, a social media unconference hosted yearly at Centennial College. She currently sits on the Corporate Communications & Public Relations Program Advisory Committee.

Yasmine graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Currently, she is a member of both IABC and CPRS, and regularly attends conferences, seminars and networking events.
