Ingrid brings over 4 years of communication experience to Thornley Fallis including marketing, public relations, publicity and event planning. She brings her creative mind and positive energy to her role as an Account Coordinator at Thornley Fallis. In this position, Ingrid is responsible for a variety of tasks, including creating audit reports, media monitoring, research and writing media materials.
Prior to joining Thornley Fallis, Ingrid worked at EnStream as a Public Relations and Communications Manager, responsible for creating a brand voice, writing copy for various properties and generating metrics reports to identify trends. She also worked at 20th Century Fox, in Publicity and Promotions.
Ingrid holds a BA from the University of Guelph in Sociology. Upon graduation, she explored the world, by living in Calgary for a year, then traveling to Europe, the Caribbean, and across Canada and the United States. Through this experience, she realized one of her passions in life: to effectively communicate with others in an honest and authentic way. She returned to her home base in Toronto to attend Humber College where she graduated, with honours, from the Post Grad Public Relations program.
When she’s not in the office Ingrid volunteers for causes that are close to her heart. She has twice completed the Weekend to End Women’s Cancer, a 60km walk benefiting the Princess Margaret Hospital and is gearing up for a third year. Combining her love of the outdoors, laughter and kids, she is a one-on-one camp companion at Camp Quality, a camp for children with cancer. She also volunteers at the local Rotary Club of Toronto West.
Ingrid is a member of IABC and frequently attends professional development and social activities. When she’s not in the office or volunteering, you can find Ingrid at a yoga studio, at the cottage, on the slopes, or contemplating when to run a half-marathon that she had somehow been convinced to do.
