The company was founded in 1995 and currently has 35 employees at offices in Ottawa and Toronto. We provide national reach through our Trans Canada Communications network of affiliates.
In 2000, we added a creative and technical capacity with the addition of 76design.

Joseph Thornley

Joseph Thornley has a longstanding interest in the enabling potential of online technology applied to corporate communication. His personal blog, propr.ca, examines the intersection of social media and public relations.
He is a frequent speaker on social media issues. His recent appearances have included: the Canadian Institute’s Conferences on Internal and External Communications for Government and New Media for Communications, as a roundtable panellist on Are Blogs and Social Media Changing the Communications Landscape for the CPRS Ottawa-Gatineau and How Blogs Are Transforming Communications at the Government of Canada’s Communicators Conference 2006.
Terry Fallis
President, Thornley Fallis
Terry Fallis is a seasoned public affairs and communications professional with over 20 years of experience. Prior to co-founding Thornley Fallis, he was President and CEO of Berger & Associates, one of Canada's oldest public relations firms. Before that, he was Vice-President of another major public relations consultancy and served as Legislative Assistant to Ontario’s Deputy Premier and Treasurer and Policy Assistant to the federal Minister of State (Youth).
He manages a broad range of communications, public affairs and crisis management projects for clients in many sectors including financial services, housing, oil and gas, health care, pharmaceutical, consumer products, automotive, government and non-profit organizations.
Terry co-hosts a weekly podcast and is a frequent speaker and panelist at conferences on public relations and social media. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McMaster University.
Alex Milroy
Chief Operating Officer, Thornley Fallis & 76design
Alex Milroy has been with Thornley Fallis since its inception in 1995, and held the position of Chief Financial Officer prior to taking on the role of COO. She has over 25 years experience in management and consulting, and has held directorships with a variety of corporate, not-for-profit and political organizations. She believes that a well-run company, with effective human resource, financial and administrative practices, is essential for consultants to concentrate on providing outstanding work for clients. Alex holds an Honours Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa.
Keelan Green
Vice-President & General Manager, Thornley Fallis & 76design
Keelan Green joined Thornley Fallis in 2002 after several years in the federal government. He now leads the firm’s Ottawa office and advises clients in the defence and aerospace, government and hi-tech sectors. He draws on a decade of experience to deliver innovative communications programs aimed at achieving clients’ business and organizational objectives. A native of Ottawa, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Acadia University. He is one of the authors of Capital PR.
Sandra Crucikshanks

Sandra Cruickshanks joined the Thornley Fallis team in 2002. She has more than 20 years of leadership experience in corporate communications in pharmaceutical, health care, telecommunications and consumer products businesses. Leading the health care team, she offers clients comprehensive and unique perspectives in all product and corporate communication programs. She is a graduate of McMaster University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences.
Michael O'Connor Clarke

Michael has almost twenty years of experience in corporate communications and technology marketing, gained both on the agency side and in a number of public and private hi-tech companies. Before moving into the agency world in 2000, Michael ran global corporate communications for Hummingbird, where he was responsible for strategic communications planning and co-ordination of all PR, investor relations, analyst relations, key corporate events, and related marketing activities across all areas of the business. Recognized as a pioneer in social media, Michael has been an active blogger since early 2001 and is a leading consultant on the integration of social media approaches within mainstream public relations campaigns.
Michael Seaton

Michael Seaton joined Thornley Fallis in 2008 bringing a multi-disciplinary approach to the firm’s digital marketing capabilities. Michael has over 15 years of industry experience with an extensive background in branding, database, relationship and loyalty marketing, focused on conversion measurement and analytics. Michael spent over a decade at Scotiabank leading the bank's digital marketing strategy in Canada. His work has been recognized with numerous national and international awards.
Michael sits on the Board of Directors with the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) as well as with Association of Internet Marketing & Sales (AIMS). He is an active speaker across North America on digital strategy and customer engagement and has his own marketing blog and podcast, The Client Side. Michael currently teaches Canada’s only Professional Certificate Course in e-Marketing and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from York University.
Aimee Deziel

Aimee Deziel joined Thornley Fallis and 76design in 2004 after several years instrategic development for creative agencies Acme Advertising and Design, The Alloy Group, and Intersection Strategy and Creative. She now leads 76design and specializes in providing strategic and creative direction to corporate, hi-tech and government clients. A native of Windsor, Ontario, Aimee is bilingual and has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Carleton University. Aimee is one of the contributors to shift+control, 76design’s group blog.
Jennifer Nebesky
Account Director, Thornley Fallis
Jennifer Nebesky joined Thornley Fallis in 2006. She has more than ten years of experience in healthcare communications. As leader the health care team, she offers clients targeted, creative and thought provoking communications programs that meet their business and communications goals. Jennifer began her career in communications at Bayer where she was responsible for media relations and internal communications during the re-launch of the company’s brand in Canada. Prior to joining Thornley Fallis Communications Jennifer taught media relations at Seneca College in the Corporate Communications graduate program. A Toronto native, she is a graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology as well as a honours graduate of the Seneca College Corporate Communications program.
