Joseph Thornley has been a driving force behind the establishment of the Third Tuesday Social Media events which bring together social media enthusiasts and communicators to explore new developments in social media and their impact on society, organizations and citizens. Since 2008, Third Tuesday events have been organized across Canada, in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa and New Brunswick. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Council of Public Relations Firms. He also is a member of the Society for New Communications Research, the Counsellors Academy of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS), the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and the Web Analytics Association (WAA).
Keelan Green is heavily involved in the community; he serves on several volunteer boards and committees, including the Canadian Public Relations Society Ottawa Chapter, the Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom, the National Arts Centre Opera Lyra Black & White Soiree Committee and the Salvation Army Ottawa Advisory Board Member. He is a member of the Canadian Public Relations Society, the International Association of Business Communicators, the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries, the Canadian Club of Ottawa, the Economic Club of Canada and Rivermead Golf Club.
‘Connected’ is how peers describe Ms. Carroll. Actively engaged with her immediate communities, she enjoys volunteering as a coach, manager and trainer in minor sports including stints with the West End Hockey League, the Ottawa Sting, and the Ottawa Royals. LeeEllen combines her passion for public relations, politics and media by moderating and emceeing candidates’ meetings as well as awards events. She maintains an active role as committee or board member with Canadian Public Relations Society, Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries, Equal Voice, and local schools.
Jennifer Gordon is very active in her community. For the past two years, Jennifer has been an active Kid Coach with Future Possibilities for Kids. In the summer 2009, she joined the board of directors and is involved in communications and events. Since 2006, Jennifer has been a volunteer with Fashion Cares, a gala in support of the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT), with the goal of building awareness of HIV/AIDS and raising funds for ACT.
